Medical Treatment
Vitiligo is an unpredictable skin disorder in which white patches appear on the skin. However, all white patches are not always vitiligo. And hence a careful examination is needed to confirm this diagnosis.
The choice of treatment depends on your age, how much skin is involved and where, how quickly the disease is progressing, and how it is affecting your life.
For smaller and limited patches, medical treatment mostly suffices.
Treatment!!!
Medical treatment includes local application of creams, phototherapy and, on rare occasions, oral medicines. All medical therapies are under medical supervision.
These medical therapies are extremely effective on hairy areas with pigmented hairs.
On non-hairy areas such as wrists, feet, ankles and in presence of grey hair, they may have poor effect.
